Katal Macher Jhol




Ingredients:

6 Fish pieces (Katal or Rohu)
4 tablespoon Mustard Oil or Cooking Oil
4 Green Chili
1 Tomato
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds or jeeraseeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder or dhania powder
2 teaspoon Ginger paste

Mathod: 

# Mix the fish pieces with little salt and turmeric powder
# Heat oil in a deep pan for 3-4 minutes. Add the fish pieces and fry them few one at a time till they turn brown.   Flip over till they fry.
  # Cut tomatoes into small pieces.
  # Add cumin seeds in the hot oil and add the cut tomato pieces. Sautee for 3-4 minutes.
  # Add cumin & coriander powder. Add pastes of ginger and green chili and mix it well.
  # Add 1 or 1� cup of water to the mix.Boil for 2-3 minutes 
  # Add to salt , chili pieces and the fried fish pieces 
  # Allow it to cook for 5 minutes. Add salt and green chili to taste.
