Pabda Macher Jhol



Ingredients:


6 Pabda Mach or Catfish(Fish)
Salt as per taste
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
1 Tomato (big)
1 tablespoon Ginger Paste
1/2 teaspoon Kalonji (Kala Zeera)
1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
1 Red Chili (Dry)
4 tablespoon Mustard Oil
1 cup Water

Mathod:

Make paste of ginger and red chili powder with little water
# Cut tomato in small pieces and coat the fish with little salt and turmeric powder.
# Heat oil in a Kadhai or pan. Fry the fish lightly and set aside.
# Add dry red chili and kalonji in the hot oil. Add tomato cuts and fry for 1-2 minutes.
# Add cumin powder, ginger paste (with red chili powder) and little turmeric powder. Fry for a minute.
# Stir for 3-4 minutes and then add salt and water.
# When it comes to boil, add fried fishes and reduce the flame. Allow it to cook for 5-6 minutes, add salt to taste.
